You believe that empowering citizens to make decisions collectively will lead to a more equitable and responsive government.
Direct Democracy is a form of government where all laws, decisions, and policies are decided by the people directly, rather than by representatives elected by the people. This political ideology is based on the principle that citizens should have the right to vote on all issues that affect their lives. It is the purest form of democracy, where the power to govern lies directly in the hands of the people.
The concept of direct democracy has its roots in ancient Athens, Greece, around the 5th century BC. Athenian democracy was a system of direct democracy, although it was limited to fre…

If you could vote on the subjects taught in school, what would be your mandatory class and why?
@9JHSJTC4mos4MO
I would keep a government and economic class mandatory to graduate high school.
@9JHSJ9RPeace and Freedom4mos4MO
History, because they teach kids about history and about what was happing to the word
@9JHSCKK4mos4MO
English because everyone needs to be able to speak
@ISIDEWITH4mos4MO
Do you think people your age would stay more informed on current events if they could vote on them?
@9JHTVTFPeace and Freedom4mos4MO
Only by choice so yes, and they have seen what's going on already on in the world.
@9JHTJXGPeace and Freedom4mos4MO
yes for a good amount of us are included in politics I think we would be more connected to vote
@9JJD3KD4mos4MO
Well I feel like if people my age were able to vote they'd be more invested and wonder about who was going for whatever and they'd want to vote if they had the chance
No, but I do think there should be more information available regarding political polls for those who can vote and are younger or newer to voting.

If your school's dress code was subject to a student vote, how would it reflect personal expression?
The school dress code would be trashed if it was up to student vote. Most students couldn't care less about what others wear, clothing is about personal comfortability and style. Most students would agree that most rules in the dress codes are dumb, especially those regarding women's clothing. Most students would agree that as long as no one's private areas are exposed, or the clothing isn't pornography, no one cares what people wear.
@9KB95TR3mos3MO
I would not want a school dress code people should have the right to wear what they want to wear but with restrictions.
@9KB9CYR3mos3MO
I believe that according to where you are and who you are around is how you should dress and that does not mean nothing bad nor is taking your "identity" from you.
@9KB8FZGRepublican3mos3MO
Schools dress code for athletes is way different from actual dress code. Female athletes in school can have really short shorts and tight shirts and that is ok but when a student who isn't a athlete wheres shorts that are not finger tip length or if they wear a "revealing" shirt they will get in trouble. So why do schools do that?
@ISIDEWITH3mos3MO
How would group projects differ if your class voted on who did what task?
@9KBF5ZXPeace and Freedom3mos3MO
it wouldn't much differ it probably be a collective vote.
@9KBCZM73mos3MO
I think that an equal dispersion of work would make the project done quicker.
@9KBCS5X3mos3MO
Group projects would differ in that tasks would be assigned based on a collective vote, ensuring equal say for all class members.

Would a student-voted prom theme make the event more inclusive and enjoyable for everyone?
Yes it gives people opportunities to share their ideas.
@9KKK97X3mos3MO
everyone should have a chance to share their ideas even in a small situation.
@9KKBFQT 3mos3MO
A student-voted prom theme would make it better because it is something that they wanted and in the end it would make it way more enjoyable for the students involved then if it was chosen by a teacher.
@9KQVQMZ2mos2MO
To attempt to make anything inclusive and enjoyable for everyone is a fools errand, the best anyone can hope for in any circumstance is to make things better for the majority. The result of a vote that is anything other than unanimous is going to upset at least one individual.
@9KK7NQH3mos3MO
Yes, it would allow for everyone to have an equal say in the theme.
@ISIDEWITH3mos3MO
What local problem would you prioritize if your community used direct votes to resolve issues?
@9KBFYF93mos3MO
Cut off taxes to the local road commisioners until they start doing their job and using our money
@9KBFT99Peace and Freedom3mos3MO
Homeless Issues, as well as women's health issues like abortion and contraceptives.
I wish we would prioritize cleaning the pollution in our local areas.
@ISIDEWITH4mos4MO
Imagine family decisions were made by direct vote—what dynamics do you think this would create?
@9JS3TQ33mos3MO
I think direct democracy is a good thing for any kind of election although I think federal it should be as it is and if it is rigged fix it because well then thats not democracy.
@9JS3PS93mos3MO
I think this would create a lot of disagreements and i think families should make desisions based on what is best for their family.
@9JS3PBN3mos3MO
IT WOULD BE MORE FAIR, AND EVERYONE WOULD HAVE LESS DRAMA
@ISIDEWITH3mos3MO
If you and your friends voted on your weekend plans, how would that change your social life?
@9KBF56W3mos3MO
I think it would help allow citizens to have more of a choice when voting.
@9KBF2SG3mos3MO
We could choose things that we would all agree on and we could improve our day to day lives.
@9KBDTPZ3mos3MO
It would make it better, as the most people would be happy and content, and it really doesn’t matter what we do, as long as we’re together.
@ISIDEWITH6mos6MO
How do you think people's day-to-day lives would change if they participated in a direct democracy?
@9H7NW4T6mos6MO
I think people would learn to care a little more about politics because it would directly affect them, and it wouldn't seem like just some nonsense that goes on in Washington.
@9H7PFX66mos6MO
I think it will make everyone share their opinions and will bring a lot of controversy. More than there already is.
@9H7NV9B6mos6MO
Their life would consist of more working than usual.
@9H8N22J6mos6MO
If every decision was made on direct democracy, no one would be able to get work done.
@ISIDEWITH6mos6MO

@9H7NF8F6mos6MO

-pure

@9H7N3F86mos6MO
