Yes, illegal aliens should be detained and returned to their home country without any delay, no court hearing, none of that stuff that delays the return to home country. Right now an illegal & US ICE are playing a cat and mouse game. The illegal has to be caught 30 times before he/she is deported. That is ridiculous. After all, I can't sneak across the Mexican border or I will go to jail. Same with any other country. We are the only goofballs that let them stay and stay and stay and wring our hands about what to do about them. Every day criminals and pedophiles cross our border to do harm to our citizens.

They should be detained and have a background check run on them to determine if deportation is necessary. Illegal immigrants should be given a two year period to register with their local police department to receive a "registered" illegal immigrant status. If the immigrant refuses to register, then they risk immediate deportation. This could also get them into a citizenship program. (Personally, I think we should deport some lazy a$$ Americans to other countries and bring in hard working immigrants)

Law enforcement is not the issue. The US has laws that govern how illegal immigrants are treated. Congress has the power to change those laws as it sees fit. This is not about how law enforcement behaves. This is about having a nation of laws and about having a functioning legislature that moderates those laws as time and circumstances change. But once more, on difficult, emotionally charged issues, congress finds it easier to pass the buck.

Isn't being here illegally already a crime? That being said human beings have a right to work and a right to go over they can best provide for the family. But if they choose to commit crimes, any type of crime, then yes, they should be deported.

Yes, all illegal immigrants should be turned over to federal authorities and deported. This is America, (a different country to where they come from) and they are here "illegaly". America is a Sovereign State, NOT a World Charity Destination, or an Intercontinental Help Clinic. We have enough of our OWN problem here to deal with. As sson as the rest of the world realizes that we are NOT a doormat, only THEN will they start immigrating here LEGALLY.

The US should create work visas that uphold their human rights and give them access to health care, legal representation and american freedoms so long as they are registered and pay taxes. I severly condemn american companies taking advantage of undocumented workers that force americans out of good paying jobs.

I do not believe illegal immigrants should be allowed to stay but if they have children, and are non-violent, I believe they should be on probation and apply for citizenship within a certain time period so they aren't deported away from their kids

Yes, it is because they illegal. When you have a word like "illegal" nothing they do is legitimate. There needs to be reform in the immigration system to fix this issue, not making it ok for people to break the law.

If the illegal immigrant committed a minor offense, they should be enrolled into the "system" for documentation and screening so visas and tax-paying compliance processes can begin. If they are violent or major offenders, process them for deportation.

I believe that to allow illegal immigrants forces a great burden on our financial welfare and erode communities in many cases. I think that if they are caught in our country, they should either be deported or be fined and go through the process of gaining residency with the same standards that are expected from everyone else. In other words, if they broke the law and cheated their way in to the country, they should have to make it up to the country somehow-prove themselves worthy of being citizens by hard work and service to their new community.
